Tollymore Forest family house near Slieve Donard

Nos 21 and 28 Positive: Clean very comfortable and well equipped, close to Tollymore Forest Park with children's playground and walks. Negative: Road noise in the garden of no. 28 but that can't be helped and it was a great space very well maintained.

Very disappointing. We paid almost £200 p/night and would have expected much more/better quality. Positive: The location to Tollymore forest park and Newcastle. Negative: The listing for this house is for two properties, it’s not clear which one you are going to get. Ours was smaller and on an ugly housing estate, not what we expected for a holiday - very poor expectation setting from booking.com. The house itself was quite rundown: dishwasher door broken, all appliances very old and in a poor state of repair, broken towel rails, no plug chain, damaged bed bases, lamps in a poor state of repair, other furniture felt poorly made. Plugs weren’t the right fit in the kitchen. Back yard full of empty pots and (again) did not look good.

Positive: Family friendly, and close to Newcastle town centre . Would use again . Value for money .

Lovely house in lovely location Positive: The house was in a lovely quite location right across from the forest park which was amazing plenty of space for a family of 6 great big sitting room and kitchen great comfy beds lovely place to sit out back suntrap for breakfast time All appliances you would ever need Kids and teenagers loved it would love to return and would highly recommend Negative: NA

Great location, disappointing facilities and cleanliness lacking. Positive: The location was great and the living room was lovely and comfortable. Negative: The whole house was dusty and in need of a good deep clean. There were dusty cobwebs on all the ceilings and wall corners, kight fittings were dusty, interiors of cupboards were not clean. Beds very low quality and uncomfortable. Pillows were lumpy and not pleasant to sleep on. No coffee machine/cafetiere. Very basic. Fire alarm went off when nothing was cooking, then kept buzzing for the weekend. The showers were awful. We would not return. We have stayed in other houses in the area and the standard of this one in no where nearly as good as them.
